Offshore Medical Billing and RCM for US Practices
Medical billing runs on details that live in different places: the referral, the authorization, the modifier, the payer's own deadline. We work inside your EHR or practice management system and keep those details lined up from scheduling to payment.

In Short
Medgeene does offshore medical billing and RCM for US practices. We work inside your EHR or practice management system on eligibility, charge entry, claims, posting, denials, and A/R, during your business hours, for a Dedicated FTE, a Flat Retainer, or $10 an hour, never a percentage of collections.

What We See Most, and What We Do About It
Authorizations nobody confirmed
The service needs a prior authorization, the schedule doesn't show one, and the visit happens anyway. The claim comes back CO-197. We check requirements at scheduling and record the authorization number, dates, and units with the visit.
Modifiers and units that don't match the note
A modifier gets dropped or a unit count is off, and the claim pays at the wrong rate or not at all. We enter charges as the provider documented them, and send questions back to the provider before the claim goes out.
Timely filing and appeal windows
Each payer runs its own clock. Claims that sit at the end of the month and denials that wait a few weeks can both age past their window. We send daily and track deadlines by payer.
Secondary payers and patient balances lost in the middle
The primary pays, the secondary never gets billed, and the patient gets a statement for the full balance. We post remittances line by line, cross over to the secondary, and separate what the patient owes.
Medical Billing Work We Take On
- Appointment SetupSchedule by provider and visit type, with the time the visit really needs
- Eligibility & Benefits VerificationVerify active coverage and whether your practice is in network
- Patient DemographicsMatch the registration, the card, and the payer response before billing
- Charge EntryEnter CPT and ICD-10 codes as the provider selected them
- Claims SubmissionScrub claims on the professional claim format before they go out
- Payment PostingPost 835 remittances line by line, with adjustments coded correctly
- Denial ManagementRead each denial code and route it to the right work queue
- A/R CallingCheck claim status on the payer portal first, and by phone when that falls short
For Group Practices and Multi-Provider Offices
More providers means more preferences: who uses which codes, whose notes are ready by when, which payers each one sees most. We write those into the checklist by provider, so charge entry and follow-up reflect how each one works.
- Each provider's preferences and payer mix captured in writing
- Reports by provider and by payer
- Questions routed to the right provider by name
- Capacity that grows when you add a provider
How It Starts

Your Software, Not Ours
We work in the EHR or practice management system you already run, through encrypted remote access. Our team has worked in eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, NextGen, AdvancedMD, Tebra (Kareo), DrChrono, ModMed, CareCloud, and Greenway, and through clearinghouses like Availity, Waystar, Office Ally, and Change Healthcare. Using something else? Tell us, and we'll say up front whether we've worked in it. Nothing is migrated, and your staff keep working the way they do now.
Pricing is a Dedicated FTE, a Flat Retainer, or Hourly at $10 per hour, never a percentage of collections. See How We Help.
Common Questions
What do you need from my office to start?
Remote access to your EHR or practice management system, your fee schedules and payer notes, and a conversation about what's behind. Most practices go live within 3 to 5 business days after that.
Do you handle prior authorizations?
We check whether an authorization is required and record the details. Getting one often involves your clinical staff, so we flag what's missing and who needs to act. If you want us to submit requests, we'll tell you plainly whether we can.
Do you change the codes our providers choose?
No. We enter what the provider documented. When something looks off, it goes back to the provider as a question.
Can we start with just part of our billing?
Yes. Many offices begin with denials, A/R, or eligibility alone and add more later. Scope is agreed up front.
What hours does your team work?
Yours. Our team works on your time, so you reach us during your business day and questions get answered while your office is open.
Will patients know a separate company is involved?
No. We work inside your system under your practice's name, and patients keep dealing with your front desk.
